Work It

No matter the challenges we are presented with in our lives, whether it’s problems with our jobs, communicating with others or making situations correct in our love life. If you show understanding, trust and belief, you’ll have the desire to overcome, because it is a proven fact that if you do your best to work it out, you can achieve the outcome you desire.

So work it, work it out.

Working it out everyday,

The Price You Pay

The price you pay for being a good person can sometimes be very challenging, but the benefits most times out weigh the negative by a long shot. Even the most simplest expression, like getting ready to enter a building at the same time as someone else. You choose to allow them to enter first, but to no avail on their part, because they didn’t even recognize your polite inclination at all, don’t give a simple thank you.

Or you may be driving down the street and you have the right of way, but you choose to allow the other driver to turn first, as an act of kindness. I’m not going to explore the humongous situation that we all encounter, but for me, it’s not just the fact that they didn’t say thank you, or a simply wave with the hand. There’s a price we both pay, because I don’t think they got it. It is simply love, respect and kindness. So if you find yourself in this particular situation, show some love and then pay it forward, because that’s the price we should be paying.

Paying the good price and then paying it forward,

You and Your Reflection

Some people struggle to acknowledge their nationality in a way that expresses their true thoughts while respecting their background.

Truly there are two sides to the question of who you are. There’s the individual viewpoint, when you feel who you are in your heart and mind, and that’s a reflection of you dealing with yourself. But there is also the other side, when viewing where you are and who you are in dealing with others and the reality of life.

Someone told me once; “as a Black person it is important for you to always remember who came before you and what sacrifices they made, and if you can understand and respect that, it would give you a broader scope of who you really are.” I’m sure that applies to other races also.

You can express your thoughts about another person’s individual thinking, but that is sometimes useless to them, because truly it only matters what that person can understand and feel. But, when you get into associations with others, you must look at the situation through a different lens. Because no longer are you in the realm of personal thinking, because dealing with and interacting with the many, you must create a much different perception. You have to include history, worldly thought and the make up of how life and thinking is, when it comes to living among others. So think twice and answer this question: who are you and what makes it that way?

That’s life and I’m,

What do you Do?

I’ve had people ask me in reference to them being attacked verbally. Questions such as, what should I do when I’ve did my best and was successful in what I did, but the response from others where completely in the negative?

Should I continue my relation, since they just refuse to give me any positive lead way? It is clear that when you do your best, you have done enough to be appreciated and when you have completed the situation in a positive way; you need not listen to haters.

So when I’m asked what to do, I say, find some new friends and if it’s your family, it time to part ways. If someone who is supposed to be close to you, doesn’t love you or support you in a positive way, then it shouldn’t be. So, that’s what I would do.

Doing what I would do,

Little Things Do Count

Based on the philosophy of living through seconds, minutes, hours and days, we sometimes tend to over look the importance of each moment that we live in. Like remembering to say hi, I love you or making plans for the next day or future. Every time we let a moment go by without viewing, feeling, seeing and living it, we take away from the importance of the life we live.

Is there ever a time when we have the opportunity to do nothing? For instance I was relaxing on the deck in the back of my house taking some sun in and listening to some music while watching the birds flying and landing in the trees. I was seemingly doing nothing. But within each moment that we live, stands an event that contributes to creating how we think, react and live our lives.

This moment allowed me to relax my body and mind in order to project attentively in to my very near future. The point being, always be aware of the moment and all the choices it has to bring.

Where are you (When I need You)?An Ode to Friendship and Lovers

Where are you when I need you? Could it be, that you don’t see me and I’m just a reflection of your needs as you look at me through your eyes?  Treated like a common mistake with no value other than what helps you pass your time of day.

If you for one moment think of me in a way that is not of yourself, then maybe you can see me standing there full of love and friendship, with a desire to help you go along the road you choose to travel alone.

Where are you when I need you, because I think and feel that I’m all-alone, with no way to turn, because you’re in my way.
The way that I travel is to implement the hope, that we are we and not, you are you just not seeing me. I stand here like this asking, where are you when I need you?

I’m right here,

Problems

What are problems? Truly they’re only the things we face while living our lives. Sometimes they seem bigger than life, but if you step back and examine the situation, you will find that they are all the same. The only difference is the intensity you apply to each one, because the fact is they really are the same. They are all something that needs to be dealt with, but if you’re unable to do that, the next thing to do is figure a way around it or over it.

In other words, create an application that will allow you the same result, but is done in a way that fits your ability to overcome. For example, Dave and Nance purchased a new home, but because of a change in their income a few years down the line they couldn’t pay their mortgage. The thing to do is not worry, because that creates a separate problem that disallows them to think or view the situation properly.

Don’t panic or get frustrated, but seek an answer to the problem, even if it means downsizing. That way you’re living life and not letting it live you. Never allow the situation to be larger that you, because it’s not. Truly it only exists because of something you formally did and it is presenting itself for resolve. Problems. We all have them, but they can and will be resolved.

Being Rich

Many of us look at being rich is having a lot of money; property or just things you believe make you rich. Myself, I look at it as having well-rounded relationships with people, where love is the foundation. I feel I can say this from a point of view in which I’ve had money all my adult life and I know the importance of having a good relationship with family and friends.

Money can’t say the words you need when you’re down and money can’t give you the touch of assurance. We all know it’s hard when you have to find your way back from a troubling situation and only human kindness and the intensity of the soul can pave the way. When you need the things that allow you to wake up and solve all your challenges you’re faced with day-to-day, let money look you in the eye and tell you; everything will be all right.

Remember you make money, money doesn’t make you and if it does then you’re going to be in trouble at one point or another. Sure I tell you, having money is a well-needed and great thing, but I’ve learned that you can have all the money you need and still not find the happiness and contentment that one searches for. What I’m simply saying is being rich is, something truly that we all have the ability to achieve and the source of it, you’re born with. But still go get your money-you dig?

Being rich, by being me with love in my heart,

No Longer in the Shadows

No longer do I stand in the shadows hoping things will change, because in this place if I wait it will only remain the same. Walls being built to keep me in or out, trying but not reflecting whom I am and definitely attempting to create doughty. You must understand, not just now but always, I have stood tall basking in the light of the Father and the Son,just like you.
But because the truth has and will set me free, I no longer stand in the shadows of no one and nothing. You can now open your eyes and see me and know that I have always been here and I’m here to stay, because I’m no longer in the shadows.
Being real,
