Looking up

I can see the sun shining bright

I ask myself

Is this just a sunny day?

Or is it a message coming my way.

Even though I’ve seen darker days

I don’t let them lead my faith

Because I know if I believe

I will always find a brighter day

So even though

I may sometimes be down

Because I let some clown

Lead me astray

I know

 There is always the sunlight

Slipping

At one time or another, we’ve all have slipped and fail down and there were more than one result that came of that, in which came to be the final result. You could have hurt yourself physically or just emotionally, because of being embarrassed.
Most people might think or feel the slipping in the physical since would create the greatest problem, but when you look closer the possibility of an emotional injury could be a continuing mishap. The reason for that is, an emotional slip many times calls for many adjustments over a period of time and most times a physical problem is something you have a direct remedy for.
I guess the point I’m making is, give value to the pain you see and feel, but give special treatment to your inner spiritual and emotional pain, because many times you may not even be aware of how deep it runs or if it even exist. But we all know; it’s not about the fall, but really how we get up or pay attention.

Seeing Clearly

I can see clearly as the blessings come my way

Sometimes I am blind to the fact

But I have learned, so this I say

Stand strong and continue to believe

Even though challenges may fall your way

Since belief is not based on the moment

But only exists in the forever and forever

So never give up on what you believe

Because through your belief

You shall succeed

So just open your eyes to see clear

It’s up to you to fight your fear.

I was walking with you in my dream

And just wanted to hold your hand

Then I spoke with you of what He asked me to tell you

And it seems like you didn’t understand

I can see

It wasn’t you showing that you would forsake

Forsake the word that had been spoken

But it was me who didn’t understand

Because you were naturally showing your expressions

From within for whom you are

Because the message was for one to have acceptance

And even today I can’t say

True I wasn’t ready

And yes it’s hard for me to keep it steady

But once my mind became my friend

It was then

I could think of you.

After you left

Long nights

Short days

Forgetful thoughts

And the feeling of being without you

When you left

Was I still here?

But because I love you so

Voices From The Ghetto

As I made my way

From my mother’s Womb

The lights hurt my eyes

So I began to cry

Right then life

My life

Took a turn from the top

Landing me somewhere

Where people drop

Dropped right into the misery

Where people live their lives

Then die

Die with a heart broken from the beginning

Never knowing joy or hope to explore

So I ask

If God loves me, why this

Because I’ve never known or been told

You must believe in order to succeed

Never been taught that

There is a plan

Where He gave you a choice

Because all who were brought to this land

And didn’t have a choice

Still choose to live

So the plan is to become a man

And don’t take the bad that’s given, as your choice

But believe and grow strong

And don’t believe in wrong

Just be the man with the plan

And believe in the truth and live and love long: As your ancestors did.

When it brings lovers together

The night is a time

When we wonder in our thoughts

And sometimes building on to

What may not even be there

It’s also a time

When we may lose ourselves

In order to find ourselves

Sad

It’s when we create

To save ourselves

Is monitored by what you put in it

Therefore

What you put in it

Is what you get out of it

Like the day you decide to

Become a doctor

A musician

A teacher

A college graduate

A mother or father

A writer

A nurse

And Etc.

So always do your best

No matter how hard it is

And how tired you may be

If you believe

And work towards it without stopping

You’ll win
